White Oak does a great job taking care of my sister. My sister is very stubborn and has a little dementia so she is not very easy to take care of sometimes…I appreciate White Oak so much.

Lancaster County’s motto is “Proud and Progressive.”  The town of Lancaster was founded in 1802. At the close of the Civil War in 1895, Col. Leroy Springs founded Springs Cotton Mill, an industrial enterprise that grew to be the “largest textile plant under one roof in the world.” Springs Industries shaped the fortunes of Lancaster and its citizens for more than 100 years. No longer active, the activity of the mills has been replaced with other companies who have invested in our city.

We love our mild temperatures here, with an average annual temperature of 61 degrees. Lancaster is located midway between the the Mountains and the Atlantic Coast–a great location for a day trip.

Lancaster County exhibits a strong family-oriented quality of life with old-fashioned, Southern hospitality.  A new fast-growing active adult community, Sun City Carolina Lakes, offers individuals 55 and up a variety of active clubs to join, 1200 acres to explore, outstanding golf course and a clubhouse.  Lancaster County is located only 30 minutes south of Charlotte, NC and one-hour north of Columbia, SC.

White Oak of Lancaster is a 132-bed skilled nursing facility that specializes in both short-term rehabilitative care and long-term care. We offer both private and semi-private rooms, all designed for comfort and ease of care. We have 24-hours a day nursing supervision as well as physicians on-call 24-hours a day.  We pride ourselves on our professional, compassionate care.

Our current building was built in 1991. We have three nursing units, day-rooms, a large dining room, activity room, therapy department, and beauty shop.
