White Oak Of Tryon

White Oak of Tryon is a 70 bed skilled nursing center conveniently located within a short drive from St. Luke’s Hospital.  We provide long term nursing care, as well as short term rehabilitation in our designated rehabilitation wing.  Additionally, we offer independent living at our White Oak Village Apartments, as well as assisted living at Benson Hall.

Nursing care is provided by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants 24-hours a day.  Our interdisciplinary team develops an appropriate plan of care for each individual in coordination with the physician’s orders.  The service of White Oak of Tryon is more than caring for immediate physical or medical needs.  Through understanding, compassion, professionalism and respect, we strive to enhance the quality of life for each individual.

Harrison Cecil

Administrator

Harrison has been the Administrator at White Oak of Tryon since 2016. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the George Dean Johnson School of Business at the University of South Carolina, Upstate.

He began his career with White Oak while attending college and worked as Maintenance Assistant at White Oak of Spartanburg,  He has since served as Social Services Assistant at White Oak of Charlotte and Assistant Apartment Director of Sharon Village Retirement Apartments.

Harrison states, "White Oak of Tryon is a special community and I'm happy to be a part of it."

SIDE STREET PIZZA & PASTA

Come and enjoy pizza and pasta in a comfortable family atmosphere. The Capozzi family says that growing up as an Italian family meant that dinner was a wonderful, memorable experience and they want others to have that experience too.

Pearson's Falls

Pearson's Falls is a gorgeous 90-foot tall waterfall that cascades down layers of rock. It is accessed via a 1/3-mile easy hiking trail that follows the brook with several picnic tables along the way. The beautiful hike through the lush forest reveals a botanical preserve with 200 species of rare wildflowers, plants, and trees.

TRYON FINE ARTS CENTER

Tyron Fine Arts Center is a nonprofit organization that operates and programs a 300 seat performance venue as well as a 150 seat amphitheater for music, opera, theatre, film, and dance. Performing and visual arts events range from a regional juried sculptural exhibit, nationally known performances, and showcases of local artists.

Morris the Horse

Morris the Horse is a well-loved landmark standing on the corner of Trade and Pacolet Streets that has proudly represented Tryon since 1928. He is both a symbol of the community’s love of horses and a replica of an era gone by when wooden toy horses just like him were made in Tryon and shipped all over the country.
